Three new initiatives launched by the Emirates Journalists Association

Dubai: The Emirates Journalists Association (EJA) has announced the launch of three new and diverse initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Emiratis interested in working in various fields of media, believing in the importance of the role of current generations in taking responsibility and preserving the achievements made by the UAE in various fields, based on the values of Emirati identity and culture.

Through these initiatives, the Emirates Journalists Association seeks to facilitate creativity for young national cadres to enrich the media landscape in the UAE and the region through various print, digital, radio and television media platforms.

The first initiative includes the enrollment of six young members in training courses for a full year to qualify them as political analysts and will be trained by professors of a number of universities and colleges specialized in the political and media field.

While the second initiative means graduates of the Faculty of Media or those about to graduate from different universities, the Emirates Journalists Association invites them to register for membership of the Association in order to benefit from training, qualification and workshops programs, according to their respective specializations.

The third initiative is aimed at high school graduates wishing to study media and includes various scholarships from UAE universities that attract young cadres and put them on the path of outstanding media work according to academic and educational programs that meet their aspirations.

Mohammed Saeed Al Tunaiji, Vice President of the Emirates Journalists Association, said that the association puts at the forefront of its priorities to provide all means of support and success for the younger generations, opening up the horizons of creativity and excellence.

Especially in light of the challenges faced by modern media, by providing various educational programs, grants and initiatives in cooperation with institutions and bodies working in society, including media colleges in their various specialties as the most important scientific tributary for young media professionals by providing scientific curricula and academic experiences that enhance the capabilities and talents of new generations who have a passion for media work.

Al Tunaiji pointed out that the three initiatives announced by the Emirates Journalists Association come within its community role and communication with all its categories, especially young people, and we seek in the coming period more initiatives and programs that enrich their experiences and qualify them to the labor market in light of the rapid developments in the media field, which require highly professional media professionals to achieve leadership and excellence.

For her part, Reem Al-Breiki, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Training and Development Committee, said that youth empowerment is one of the most important tools of the modern media industry, as they are the most vital element in society and have creative energies that need to be refined and pushed forward to be successful in their field and able to carry the media message, which we seek to achieve through these initiatives and other activities organized by the Association aimed at enhancing the role of media in society, and taking the hand of future media leaders from promising young people.
She explained that the strategies and frameworks of the association are always aimed at enhancing the capabilities of workers in journalism and media in all its forms, with a focus on new generations and putting them at the forefront of priorities, opening them to reach the highest levels of excellence during their media career, which is launched through the portal of the Emirates Journalists Association.
